My heart is full. I can’t believe it. My book is finally done!!
“The Notebook: The complete poetic collection: 2019”, available now on Amazon.
This is my twelfth book to date. I’ve published them all in a decade. It feels completely surreal.
I’ve been searching for the perfect words to define, commemorate, and celebrate this moment. To publish one book is an accomplishment. To publish twelve books is a miracle.

I’ve wondered what to call an author of twelve books. How would you refer to that author? In the traditional publishing world, they would be called a “bestselling author.” However, in the self-publishing world, what term, or phrase, should be used?
A serial author? No, not serial. It’s used to describe killers who murder multiple people. I’m not Jack the Ripper. Though I will say, I’ve always been fascinated with the case.
Am I a tenured author? Prolific? Accomplished? Learned? (Pronounced with an emphasis on the suffix “-ed”, as if spoken in Ivy League hallowed halls of learning.)
I’ve decided on this phrase to describe myself: Established Author
Established: definition:
-accepted and recognized or followed by many people
-successful for a long period of time and widely known
-growing or flourishing successfully

I’m full of pride upon achieving this milestone. Part of me can’t believe I’ve been publishing books of my writings for ten years. It hardly seems possible.
I’m reminded of what my mother told me when I graduated from college:
“You earned this. No one can take this away from you.”
Thank you for accompanying me on this journey. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.
Sincerely,
-Esperanza Habla, Established Author
