Privacy Policy
In every company you purchase goods from online, do business
with online, every website you visit online, there should be a clearly stated privacy
policy. If you are an internet user, you have probably received an e-mail-or
several more-pertaining to websites you frequent, and their changes in their
privacy policies.
Tomorrow, the European Union rules about privacy policies are
changing. Known as the G.D.P.R., the General Data Protection Regulation dictates
the collection and public knowledge of collecting user data. To be compliant
with the new GDPR regulations, it is my duty and responsibility as blog owner
to inform you of Blogger’s collection of user data.
Since the creation of this blog in 2012, this blog, and Blogger,
has used Google Analytics for data retention of visitors to this blog.
Information collected by Google Analytics includes visitor data regarding:
Daily/weekly/monthly page views, popularity of blog postings,
traffic sources, sources of visitors (including browsers and operating
systems), geographic location.
The following are screenshots of data collected from this blog from Google Analytics from its inception in 2012:
As a blogger and website owner, I have read the information
about users to this blog, to get a sense of where my readers are around the
world, the number of visits per month, and for which blog posts are the most popular. I can say with pride that this blog has a readership of more than 80
countries.
I have maintained the privacy of all data collected by Google Analytics. I have
never sold or shared user content with anyone, except in the examples shown
above today.
My website, La Luna Press, also has a posted privacy policy:
