Letters to the Moon....

  It’s been a heck of a year, 2024. I remember a year ago, people being eager for the leap year, to leap us into a better world. However, it seems that the leap year took us to unexpected places, and presented us with unforeseen challenges. But, we’ve done it, we’ve come out the other side, and are here to tell the tale. As is my practice for the year, I take time to reflect on the year that has been, the lessons I have learned over the course of these twelve months.  The Sunken Place Or Nice Knowing You 11-1-24 It’s 2am on Friday November 1, 2024. I’m awake because of a reaction to a new medication I’m on, not because I want to be.  We’re 4 days out from a critical election in this nation’s history. Like many Americans, I feel like, “Here we go again.” In some ways, it doesn’t feel like it did the first time. On one hand, it feels like the country isn’t as dark as it was in 2016. On the other hand, it feels like a dire emergency.  How did we get here? How the holy hell did we get here? We’re here because a national political party aligned themselves to a convicted felon and sexual predator. Who will save their souls?!?  Those of us in the country that can see that man for what he is know the truth-he’s running for president to keep himself out of prison.  The existential crisis if this man were to be president is no joke. Dear friends and family, Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy Solstice! Happy Hannukah! I hope this Holiday missive finds you well.   How are you? How has your year been? It’s been a challenging year for me, to say the least. "Once", a Letter to the Moon Dear Luna, Hello there! Happy Holidays? How are you? How have you been? I hope you’ve been well. How is Sally? Please give her my love. I’m writing with big news to share-my new book is done!! Just in time for the holidays! It’s called, “Me Too”, and contains the writing I did from in 2018. I’m excited that it’s finally done! To publish one book in a lifetime is a feat. And I’ve published eleven! It makes me shake my head and wonder; how did I get here? How did this happen? How did I get to be so lucky?
