Lessons From the Year 2024

It’s been a heck of a year, 2024. I remember a year ago, people being eager for the leap year, to leap us into a better world. However, it seems that the leap year took us to unexpected places, and presented us with unforeseen challenges. But, we’ve done it, we’ve come out the other side, and are here to tell the tale.

As is my practice for the year, I take time to reflect on the year that has been, the lessons I have learned over the course of these twelve months. Here then are the lessons from the year 2024.

-There’s something hopeful about a New Year, a blank set of pages to write your story, a clean slate.

-The year of the dragon was as dramatic and powerful as the mythical beast itself

-The solar eclipse was a celestial event unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed. The thoughts and feelings that were evoked in that moment still resonate with me today.

-War is a blight on the planet which openly demonstrates the worst of humanity.

-It’s truly an odd thing when clouds stand still in the sky. It’s a metaphor for us all to stop, pause, rest, and reset.

-I love talking to my friend Luna. She’s a dear friend to me. I need to write her more often.

-It’s a rare feat to self publish a book. It’s even more rare to publish your eleventh.

-It brings me joy to write and share my Christmas missive.

-Skies are dark here in the sunken place.

My friend, I’m so glad to share these thoughts with you. Looking ahead to the year to come, it will be the Year of the Snake in the Lunar New Year zodiac. I’m not sure what challenges and triumphs await us in the coming months. Still, I wish you the very best.

I’ll be writing soon-I have so much to share with you. Until then, I wish you peace, health, prosperity, and the very best that the New Year has to offer.

Take care my friend. Much love,

         -E
