Lessons from the Year 2025
Now is the time of
year when I take time to pause, reflect, review the year that has been, and think about everything I’ve learned over the
past year. This year has brought me many events to reflect upon, as well as
many lessons to learn. Here then are the lessons I’ve learned from the year
2025:

-Your world changes, forever, when your mother dies.

-It can be a wonderful thing to donate to a worthy cause in the name and memory of someone you love.

-Sometimes we’re just ready for the rain.

-The universe can surprise you with a moment you can only be described as being “woo woo”

-It was wonderful to join the Substack community.

-It was an honor and privilege to publish my latest book. It is dedicated to my mother. I published it on my father’s ninety-fifth birthday.

-Losing a pet is its own unique heart-wrenching loss.

-Still getting comfortable with the concept of becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable.

-Christmas 2025 was a silent night, calm and bright.

With the bitter comes the sweet. We cannot know and see the light without also having known and seen the darkness.
We close the book on the Year of the Snake. We open the pages of the Year of the Horse. I look forward to learning the lessons the New Year brings.
-Hope
